Ready to say goodbye to 2017? I know I am! Wow, what a challenging year! With the January full moon scheduled for New Year’s day, 2018 is already indicating that it is time to wipe the slate clean, leave the past in the past and look ahead to the future.
In a recent 2018 forecast I did for a friend it was made clear to me that one of 2018’s main themes is “family”. For everyone this theme will manifest differently depending on what issues are present; however, it is clear that family will be the area of challenge for most.

Along with the theme of family was the theme of “togetherness”. It presented itself as the “We are the world” card (Osho Zen Tarot). This hints that not only will we as individuals need to “stick together’ but also that events in the world will require togetherness rather than separateness. How events play out will depend entirely on whether we are open and willing to put aside our differences and cooperate for the greater good of Earth.
Based upon just these two themes – family and togetherness – 2018 will be gifting us with lessons and opportunities that will have the potential to blast through lies and illusions related to family and groups (ie. racism, relationships, cultural beliefs, religion, persecution, etc) not only here at home but on a global scale. Will we rise up to the challenge? Can we get past our small selves (Ego) and grow out of selfishness and separateness into Unity and Togetherness? I hope so!
For clarity, I decided to select three of my Light Code Oracle cards.
These three cards further expound upon the themes of family and togetherness. The Service card indicates that 2018 will require that we help one another. We will be asked to be more selfless, more generous and compassionate, and to do so without expectation of it being returned.
The Creator card reminds us that we create our reality. For most of us, our full potential lies hidden throughout our lives. We will be asked to push aside our fear of not being enough, to look deep within and accept that we are potently powerful Beings capable of so much more than we consciously realize. This might mean life forces us to take a long, deep look at ourselves. Sometimes this can be scary, but with courage we discover amazing things. This card also reminds us that as Creators, we need to remain mindful of the thoughts that precede our actions. Are we acting out of kindness and love? Or are we responding from a place of fear and hate?
Finally, the Health card asks us to remember to take care of ourselves as well as those we love. It indicates that we will find healing and renewal in 2018 and invites us to be receptive to the opportunities as they present themselves. Will we refuse a compliment or hug when we need it? Will we accept help when it is offered despite our own pride pushing us to reject it? It reminds us that healing is not always a retreat or vacation away from our troubles. It can come about via our interactions with others, through life activities, even upsets and change.
I, personally, have already identified some of the coming lessons 2018 has to offer me. For me the challenges/lessons are in my own home and extended family. However, though the lessons appear to be all about ourselves and our families, don’t be fooled. The challenges each of us overcomes is another point for our Team – humanity and Earth.

I chuckled when I opened my email and saw that you had a post. I followed one of your other blogs (walk in?) for a while but mostly just receive the notifications via email from blogs I follow..
Anyway, unless I missed the notifications I hadn’t seen any from your sites in quite a while but just yesterday came across the light language session you had done for me which had me wondering how you’ve been..
So of course it could be a coincidence that after months of not seeing a post from you that after only one day passes thinking about you, I notice the post, lol.. but it had me chuckling..

Good to hear from you! I have not been posting in my Walk-In Life blog but I have been posting in my Living Life In-Between blog. I’m likely going to be posting info on my oracle deck at some point soon in the Walk-In blog but not sure exactly when just yet. I just finished a painting (my first in months) so that will be posted soon as well.

The deck is for sale but I don’t have a booklet still, thus I haven’t sold even one. 😞
I’m probably way off here as far as the booklet, but would it be possible or easier to do like a slideshow/spreadsheet downloadable file? I’m just thinking that if you’re able to copy/paste the images along with even a short meaning to, what is it Google Slides I think, include the link as a download,.. I don’t know really, lol.. and you probably already thought or tried or have it even but I hate to not make a suggestion, just in case.
I’d still like to purchase a deck soon, I really enjoy your paintings.

That is a good idea. Thanks for suggesting it. Honestly, I have not really thought much about the booklet since July. I’ve been healing, focusing on my family and mundane life, grounding, and doing lots and lots of processing. The booklet just wasn’t a priority. I will probably use the cards for readings for a while, get a feel for them and develop the card explanations that way. I gave one deck to my brother to use so he will help because he will need to request the meanings as he uses them. lol
I am hoping to get more tarot/reading requests in the near future to get rolling on the booklet. So far I have done zilch in terms of promoting myself, my blog, oracle deck and readings. I need to start manifesting pronto! 🙂 Hoping to get back in the saddle soon making videos, doing readings and painting again. I miss my creative me time.
I agree it’s definitely been a roller coaster ride of… Everything, lol.. reassuring to know that we can create that ride now with maybe less bumps.. or mountains 😉

Well there will still be bumps and mini-mountains. We aren’t going to get it that easy especially with the theme of family and togetherness. 😀 I think for many of us there will be more smiling and good times, though, especially if we take our cue and get to healing our family wounds.

Thank-you Dayna. I have good friends visiting and I was really looking forward to a trek over to the coast to wash away 2017 and welcome 2018 but today storms and rain are forecast so I will have to delay this sea cleansing ritual.
Major planetary changes for 2018 are to earth and water signs so I think we will hopefully be working on healing for the earth and seas. I think we need to consciously practise healing as you say starting in our families and backyards.
Sorry to hear about the weather there. It is freezing here and we might get snow! Crazy! Glad I am not an earth or water sign as I’ve had enough change already! But yes much healing is still needed. Much love! Happy 2018!
Happy New Year to you, too! I notice this is an ’11’ year, and as you know, that is a powerful number. And it reduces to 2, = in astrology, the Moon, so the family and home theme makes a lot of sense.

I noticed it is an 11 year as well and recognized how it was in line with what I got. 2 represents the second chakra, family, relationships, home. Nonetheless I am looking forward to leaving 2017 in the dust. Whew! Glad that is over!
2017 was the worst year I’ve every experienced. While I achieved a lot, there was significant difficulty especially materially. Praying for surf and a better year – your post is most helpful!
